Hi! My name's Cecilia and I'm a student here at Roundwood College. I'm from Italy. I live in a house near the college with four other students - all girls: Anna, Katherine, Maria and Paula. The house is big - there are five bedrooms and three bathrooms. My bedroom is small, but there is a lot of light and it's a nice green colour. I like to study there because it's quiet and it's calm. Of course we have a kitchen, but we don't cook very much, and there are two living rooms. In one of the living rooms we watch television, play music, chat and have fun and in the other one we study and read. It's a 'quiet' room. All five of us have different friends and when we are not out having fun, sometimes they all come to see us, so it's very noisy in the house. It's like a student hall! We need our quiet room.

How are you, my little sister? I hope you and our family are well. I'm writing this in English so you can practise, too. It's very exciting here in Norwich - it's a good city to live in. There are lots of shops, cafés and cinemas. My flat is near the centre and it's very comfortable and warm. It's a shared flat - there are four of us - me and three other boys, so it's not very quiet. I usually go to the library to study. I can't walk to the university from the flat, but there are lots of buses.

It's easy to meet people here and the other students are very friendly. Many of them are not from England. I have friends from Russia, Argentina, Dubai and Greece. One of my friends, Mark, is a student host. The student hosts are students who know the university very well and they help new students like me.
